Focus 3 - Mechanisms of susceptibility to acute COVID-19 and pulmonary sequelae

We are combining ex vivo approaches with analyses of in vivo samples from the PROSAIC-19 (Prospective Longitudinal Assessment in a COVID-19 Infected Cohort) study to determine what drives altered susceptibility to severe COVID-19 and its sequelae, with the aim of identifying novel druggable targets. We have an ongoing interest in the microbial and immune drivers of post-COVID respiratory syndromes.
